Leaders of Tomorrow

Preparing You for Your Future

Whether you dream of becoming a forensic pathologist, marine biologist, teacher, coder, entrepreneur or designer, it’s good to have help along the way.

The Astoria Regatta Court is a commitment to your community and yourself. During your time on the Court, you’ll represent your town at parades and festivals across the state. You’ll also develop key skills such as public speaking and professionalism that will help you in college and in your career. And, you’ll have a blast doing it with four other fun, ambitious young women like yourself!

Mentorship

Each member of the Regatta Court is paired with a woman from the local business community who serves as her mentor, helping her reach her goals in high school and beyond. Our Mentors are exemplary women who work and live in Clatsop County. They serve as a guide, example and advocate for the young women they mentor. Mentors are selected based on their commitment to the program, previous mentoring experience, and enthusiasm for developing a mentor-mentee relationship.

Public Speaking

During your time on the Regatta Court, you will work with a speech coach on writing and delivering speeches to organizations throughout Clatsop County. Being able to communicate clearly and persuasively is a valuable skill in academia, business, politics and in your personal life. By developing your skills and confidence in public speaking, you will have a head start in whatever path you choose.
