As a student at Seaside High School, Jasmine Schermerhorn loves English class. It’s her favorite part of school because she enjoys the learning environment, has a wonderful teacher, and she appreciates her friends in the class. She also plays for the Seaside Girls’ Soccer team and loves the sport.

When it comes to her activities outside of school, she loves spending time with her family. They enjoy having game nights, traveling, and going camping together. She also loves writing and reading, as well as spending time outdoors hiking or going to the beach. Jasmine says the best part of her community is its willingness to support students, especially at athletic events like football, basketball, and soccer. The community is always there to cheer for teams.

Jasmine says that she is most looking forward to the Regatta’s involvement in the Navy Dinner and the Portland Starlight Parade.

    Cherishes Astoria's landmarks, beaches, and historical sites in Clatsop County.

    Engages in making clay figures, painting, and family time outside school.

    Favorite part is being a teacher aid in a kindergarten class, witnessing children's progress.

    Anticipating the 4th of July parade, recalling childhood memories of the event.

    Excited about the diverse opportunities at school and the chance to socialize and learn from others.

    Eagerly anticipating upcoming events and the mentoring opportunities in store, especially looking forward to The Starlight Parade.

    My father and I frequently go skiing and enjoy playing board games and doing puzzles together.

    My mother and I have a tradition of exploring new restaurants and traveling together. We appreciate the close-knit community in Warrenton where everyone is always ready to help one another.

    Engaged in playing club volleyball and going on fun adventures with my younger brother, especially when indulging in sweet treats.

    Actively involved in the leadership class, creating posters for game nights and contributing to planning events like homecoming.

    Looking forward to improving public speaking skills and writing abilities, with a special anticipation for a shopping trip in Portland.
