Queen Chantrell Lee

Chantrell Lee, a junior at Seaside High School, embodies curiosity, community spirit, and a love for nature as a 2025 Astoria Regatta Queen. Chantrell cherishes her close-knit family, including her twin sister Brenna, with whom she shares a love for music and outdoor adventures. From bird-watching to cooking and laughing with her parents, and engaging in crossword puzzles with her Grandpa, Chantrell deeply values the bonds that shape her life.

A passionate advocate for her community, Chantrell has actively contributed to projects like creating planter boxes at Seaside High School, relying on the generous support of local businesses and neighbors. She sees community as more than proximity—it's about selflessness and shared efforts to make life better for everyone.

Outside of school, Chantrell channels her love for the environment through volunteering at Haystack Rock, where she studies tidepool ecosystems, and enjoys hiking and bird-watching in Clatsop County. Dance has been a lifelong passion, alongside track and field, where she excels in pole vaulting. Chantrell also balances her creative side with crocheting and working at The Nest bakery, where she delights in its welcoming atmosphere.

  • Princess Daphne Madsen

    Junior, Astoria HS

    Princess Daphne lives in Astoria with her parents and her younger brother, Griffin, and younger sister, Luca. Family is a very important part of Daphne’s life. She enjoys getting to see her parents often throughout the day since her father serves as the vice principal at Astoria High School and her mother teaches her dance classes and coaches the AHS Pizazz Dance Team, which Daphne proudly participates in. With all three siblings involved in multiple activities and sports, their family schedule stays busy, but they always make time to spend together camping and playing pickleball.

    Daphne loves living in a community that values protecting life and the natural environment. She appreciates being able to see the ocean every day and being surrounded by the green forests and wildlife that make Clatsop County so special. She also admires how proud Astoria is of its history and traditions, from the historic homes on the hills to the famous movie locations throughout town. Daphne loves how much the community cares about preserving these special places and traditions.

    Daphne has been dancing at Maddox Dance Studio since she was two years old. This year she is excited to begin teaching two hip-hop classes for younger students. She also works at Frite & Scoop. In her free time, Daphne enjoys drawing, photography, paddleboarding in the summer, and playing pickleball.

  • Princess Teslyn Wintersteen

    Junior, Astoria HS

    Princess Teslyn is grateful to be part of a close-knit family with her loving parents and two older brothers. Many of her extended family members also live in Astoria, including all of her grandparents, and they spend a great deal of time together. The Wintersteen home is always welcoming, and on any given weekend, holiday, or even a random weeknight, it may be filled with friends laughing, eating, and enjoying time together. As a family, they love spending time outdoors—visiting the beach, riding bikes, walking around town, hiking, and enjoying everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

    Teslyn feels a strong connection to the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean through her family history, as both her grandfather and great-grandfather were fishermen. She loves the sense of closeness and kindness throughout the community, whether walking through shops downtown or seeing everyone come together to support local sporting events. In Astoria, it often feels like one big family where you are always running into someone you know.

    Teslyn is involved in YoungLife, where she enjoys connecting with others, having fun, and encouraging one another in faith. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and making arts and crafts, a creative passion inspired by her great-grandmother Patty. Her family also loves riding ATVs in the Oregon Dunes and makes many trips there during the summer months. Teslyn is also proud to support Wigs for Kids, having donated her hair several times since 2017, with her next donation planned for 2027.

  • Princess Jordan Josephson

    Junior, Seaside HS

    Princess Jordan comes from a supportive and close-knit family. Her mother is a nurse, and her father is a software engineer. She also has an older sister who is currently a sophomore at the University of Oregon. Jordan’s family owns Josephson’s Smokehouse, a historic Astoria business that has been passed down through generations and is now operated by her father and aunt. Jordan values the strong support her family gives one another and cherishes the time they spend together.

    One of Jordan’s favorite things about her community is the abundance of small businesses throughout Astoria. Having grown up around many of these local shops, she enjoys recognizing the people and places that make the town special. With her family’s business having served the community for over a century, Jordan feels proud to be part of a town that values and supports local businesses.

    Outside of school, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves reading. During the winter months, she especially looks forward to traveling to Mt. Hood with her family to snowboard. Jordan has been snowboarding since she was eight years old and continues to enjoy it as one of her favorite winter traditions.

  • Princess MacKenzie Haag

    Junior, Seaside HS

    Princess Mackenzie shares a close bond with her family and enjoys spending time together on vacations and trips. She and her brothers are all very involved in sports, and they love supporting one another by attending each other’s games and activities. Their busy schedules are often centered around athletics, which has helped bring their family even closer.

    One of Mackenzie’s favorite things about the local community is the many events that take place throughout the year. She enjoys seeing how activities such as Hood to Coast, beach volleyball tournaments, and holiday celebrations bring people together and welcome visitors from all over to the area.

    In her free time, Mackenzie loves to travel and explore new places. She also enjoys reading and has a passion for musicals. Sports play a big role in her life, not only because she enjoys staying active, but also because they have helped her build many meaningful friendships along the way
